Mogelijkerwijs zijn er door ggz-instellingen met specifieke verzekeraars in de WMG-overeenkomst afspraken gemaakt die afwijken van hetgeen hierboven genoemd is. Het is bijvoorbeeld mogelijk dat verzekeraars bepaalde beroepen in het geheel niet toestaan als hoofdbehandelaar. Indien er sprake is van afspraken met verzekeraars die strenger zijn dan de beleidsregels van de NZa wordt dat in de instellingsspecifieke bijlage bij het normenkader nader toegelicht, en wordt daar in de programmeerbare norm rekening mee gehouden.
